Sarawak Women Museum
Sarawak Women Museum was launched in August 6, 2007 by The Chief Minister, YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud.
The museum provides education and information to the public especially the younger generation to make these figures as his idol and inspiration for they contributed to the development of this country. Sarawak Women Museum focus on the contributions and achievements of women since 1963 when Sarawak with the Federation of Malaya to form Malaysia. Contributions and achievements have been categorized into several areas such as political, social, education, economics and business administration, arts, professional, sports and SABATI.
Sarawak Women Museum is the first museum established in Malaysia. The museum has an important role in highlighting the role played by women in a very big contribution in the development of Sarawak until today.
