The objective of Benak Trail Run Sri Aman is to promote Sri Aman Tidal Bore Festival, known locally as Pesta Benak, which is a festival centered around the tidal bore phenomenon in the Batang Lupar River.
Runners will experiences the ambience of running along through villages, jungle trail and Sri Aman Town, and most importantly along the Batang Lupar river where they can admire the tidal bore phenomenon. The routes consist of a 10KM challenge under ‘men/women veteran’ and ‘men/women open’ categories, as well as the 5KM fun run. It’s is definitely a different running experience. Runners stand a chance to win medals and cash prizes.

The tidal bore is a phenomenon that takes place twice a day all year round in Sri Aman, but is more prominent during the King Tide during the dry season. In fact, the Batang Lupar Tidal Bore is ranked in the list of Top 10 Tidal Bores in the world. Read more about the Tidal Bore Festival here.
