Kuching Marathon (KM) is an annual event which brings runners from all over the world to the beautiful city of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. KM is well known as of the most multicultural marathon events in the region because it is surrounded by the subtle yet rich cultural heritage and pristine beauty. About Kuching Marathon
This is a road race competition which consists of full marathon of 42KM (measured to international standard of 42.195KM) and a half marathon of 21KM. There are also the 10KM and 5KM category.
The event was inaugurated on 17 August 2014. With a good record from organising an event of this nature, KM has been recognized by Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS). As a result, this international running event is now listed in AIMS Race Calendar.
Kuching is the capital of the state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo. The Kuching International Airport has connections to Singapore, Pontianak, Brunei as well as high frequency service to and from Kuala Lumpur.
