KUCHING, Aug 17 — Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) today launched an intra-state tourism campaign known as “Sia Sitok Sarawak” or “Here and There Sarawak” as another effort to boost the sector.
Sarawak Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the campaign would allow Sarawakians, as well as residing non-Sarawakians with working permits, to enjoy and experience tourism products in the state at discounted package prices of up to 50 percent.
Sales for the products would be for a period of three months between July 15 and Oct 15 and the travelling period would be from now until Dec 31 this year.
“The campaign offers over 30 exciting attractions, tours and activities in Kuching, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri and Mulu which includes day-trip tours, full board multiple day trips with accommodation and meals,” he said when launching the campaign at a hotel here.
He said among the unique and enticing packages and activities up for grabs during the campaign include the Sarawak River Sunset Cruise, Irrawaddy Dolphin Cruise at Santubong, Bird watching at Kubah National Park, Fun Dive Daytrip at Satang Island, Evening Kuching Wetland and Bako National Park tours.
The packages offered also include full board Tanjong Datu National Park Tour, Miri Golfing at Eastwood Golf, Bintangor and Sarikei Countryside, Bintulu Explorer, Mukah-Melanau Heartland Discovery, Silabur Caving and Hiking and the Kampung Sting Adventure.
