Sarawak Tourism Board is looking for highly motivated, committed, energetic and vibrant personality to join our team for the following positions:

Manager – Procurement, Grade N44 (1 post)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute procurement strategies across the Board
  • Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Communicate with suppliers/vendors to ensure that the services/products arrive in a timely manner
  • Process a quotation/tender projects
  • Analyse supply contracts to determine which suppliers/vendors best meet the Board’s needs and project requirements
  • Compare proposals for price and specifications
  • To oversee and handling all procurement related matters accordance to State circulars, procedures and guidelines.
  • To prepare annual procurement plan and monthly procurement reports
  • To plan procurement meeting


Job Requirements:

  • A degree in Business Management, Administration, Economics or any relevant fields.
  • At least 6 years of working experience in related field
  • Problem analysis and solving skills
  • Analytical, Negotiation, Mathematical skills
  • Basic knowledge of procurement process, procedures and policies in government sector will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge in materials logistics, business and contract law, finance and accounting.
  • Strong communication capabilities with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Must be a quick learner, good team player and self-motivated.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently.


Assistant Manager – Digital (Website Management), Grade N29 (1 Post)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade Sarawak Tourism Board’s various websites and their elements.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues.
  • Identify and respond to all website security breaches.
  • Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.
  • Update systems and content regularly.
  • Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
  • Create appropriate website content aligned with the organisation’s strategy.
  • Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
  • Improve the User Experience of the website.
  • Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.
  • Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.
  • Measure and identify trends and report performances of digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROIs and KPIs), making recommendations to improve.


Job Requirements:

  • A diploma in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
  • At least 1 years of work experience in related field.
  • Have knowledge of Google analytics, SEMrush, Mailchimp, Canva, among others.
  • Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, mySQL and JavaScript.
  • Detailed understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Paid Per Click (PPC) and web design and other elements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Content creation, design or writing skills are a plus.
  • Time management skills with the ability to multi-task.


Assistant Manager – Digital (Social Media), Grade N29 (1 post)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Hire and train others in the team
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Adhere to rules and regulations
  • Present to Senior Management


Job Requirements:

  • A diploma in Marketing, Business Administration or related qualification.
  • At least 1 years of work experience in related field.
  • Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
  • Excellent knowledge of social media best practices
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing
