KUCHING, 4th July 2022 – SACOFA Sdn Bhd (SACOFA) was honoured to be given the opportunity to support the Sarawak Government’s bold initiative in implementing Responsible Tourism, Green Activities, and hybrid events through its iconic music festivals.

With the highly anticipated Borneo Jazz Festival 2022, SACOFA provided digital connectivity via Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) broadband to the event, providing stable high-speed backhaul for live streaming facilities.

This broadband access helped to enable a smooth and enjoyable viewing experience for the online festival participants beyond Sarawak through live streaming of the event.

SACOFA, which is the leading ICT infrastructure company in Sarawak, also provided similar service at the Rainforest World Music Festival 2022 held at Sarawak Cultural Village from 17 to 19 June and was proud to be part of the iconic event.

Providing broadband internet access to communities at large is the company’s core responsibility in Sarawak.

In line with Sarawak’s digitalisation agenda, SACOFA has carried out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities such as SACOFA4U, involving the provision of complimentary Wi-Fi service in 14 underserved public spaces such as rural schools, libraries, and houses of worship.

On top of this, SACOFA also partnered with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) in providing Digital Makerspace kits to rural schools in a programme spearheaded by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

SACOFA is also collaborating with Unimas in providing digital training programmes for the island community of Kampung Salak in Santubong near Kuching City.
