The Piasau Nature Reserve is an urban green space designed to provide the locals of Miri with an escape from the busy urban life. Locals and tourists alike can view and observe animals in their natural environment without having to leave Miri city. Bird watchers and enthusiasts are able to enjoy this park to the fullest, especially as they observe the family of four Oriental Pied Hornbills, Jimmy and Juliet, with their young offsprings Cecelia and Musa, wander around the reserve.

The Piasau Nature Reserve Information Centre comprises of a central administrative office, a café, a convenience shop, and an educational exhibition hall.
Visitors can see some of the best views of the reserve from the courtyard.
Step inside the Interpretation Centre to view records the Piasau Nature Reserve Masterplan and the wildlife, flora and fauna available within the park.
This natural trail leads visitors to an open area where they can observe hornbills feeding on fruit trees.

Walk through the West Gate of the Piasau Nature Reserve to access the trails and ranger station.

Visitors can take a leisurely stroll along the Community Trail.
There are numerous boards located around the park, bearing information and cautionary messages for the safety of visitors.
Piasau National Park’s famous male hornbill, <i>Jimmy</i>, usually brings food to female hornbills that are incubating eggs in their nests.
